On my entire backside is a work-in-progress tattoo piece that projects the most visible stars of the Orion constellation onto my body, 1:1. When i lived in the chaparral, i'd go out at night on long, lonely walks around my neighborhood. In a cul-de-sac i'd stare up and see him, my winter brother, at night. I thought this brotherly bond to the constellation (not myth) was a lonely one, until i learned of Dorianne Laux's poem Winter Brother in a magazine i randomly picked up at work.
I am missing a front tooth.
I run handsaboveheads on instagram, a way to atone for my cowardness in photography at shows. I love it, though, the project.
